Wenger Happy With Champions League Draw

by David on December 18, 2009

Arsene Wenger seemed pretty happy with the Champions League draw, as he should be, calling Arsenal tie against Porto as “difficult but feasible”, believing the key to winning through to the quarter-finals was getting away goals.

“It is a 50/50 game. Porto are always in there and always difficult to play against. The little advantage is that we have the second game at home but it’s important that we negotiate well our first game and try to score away from home. It’s a difficult draw. Last season we had a very good game at home and away we lost 2-0. But it’s the Champions League, it’s a cup game now, it’s form of the day and I believe it’s feasible.”

The first leg will be at the Estádio do Dragão on 17 February and Wenger said it is important that Arsenal get at least goal in this game:

“It’s important that we negotiate our first game and try to score away from home”

Totally agree John. Unless United get some defenders back I cannot see them beating Milan
