Song back for United game?

by David on January 25, 2010

With Cameroon losing 3-1 to Egypt in extra time today, the African Cup is now over for Alex Song

That means Song could be availble for the Gunners three tough games against Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool. I will certainly feel more confident about these three games if Song is in the line-up, than without him.

Eboue will be back in training Wednesday, so going by that basis Song should be back in training on Thursday. Which would give him a few days to get ready for the United match. But it’s the first time Song has gone away for the ANC, can never tell what will happen as far as coming back until it happens. For example Kanu took like a week extra to get back each time, while other players were back the next day. We will just have to wait and see, he’s a young lad in amazing shape, Villa certainly is pushing it too far, but I think he will be back for United.

I’m delighted Song and Eboue are back (and hopefuly without injury).

I think the Arsenal world isbeing ridiculously harsh on Denilson. He doesn’t always have his best game, granted, but no player ever plays well all the time. I’d rather have him than Lucas, or Anderson, although I’d be less tempted to say that about Mikel at Chelski.

The Stoke game was a poor one for many of our players, not just Denilson. I didn’t think Cesc was at his best either, but no-one is riding him about it.

Support Denilson, and you never know… he may just grow into being another sepcial Arsenal player!

it;s high time that wenger couldn’t manage to figure out who to play in midfield when players are back and now i’ve the feeling he won’t play song ove the weekend…..as usual he will shout ” song has some fatigue from ACN angola. God forbid!!!

Yeah be happy to have the likes of Song/Diaby/Ramsey/Nasri/Bendtner all available for those games. Nice to see a subs bench looking strong and could change the game if needed…..Lukasz/Campbell/Eboue/Ramsey/Rosicky/Walcott/Bendtner.

I believe Arsene Wenger should just go ahead and sign a striker for us and then stop talking about Vela Walcot and co. Who could not even hold on to the ball on their own. To me these boys are not matured enough to carry what we call the task of our lives when it matters most. So Wenger stop deceiving yourself and buy us quality players that we need.

Arsenal is not an academy where a 3 year old child wil come and play with his toys.

Wenger be warned.
