If the British press are to be believed, Arsene Wenger is very actively searching for a new goalkeeper for next season.
Reports are that Arsenal had a a £14m offer for Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina turned down last week. The proposed transfer would have shattered the British trabfer record for a goalkeeper.
So who is next on Wenger’s wish list? Rumors are linking arsenal with Juventus keeper Gianluigi Buffon, but I cannot see that happening. One, Buffon is too old for Arsenal and would have little resell value when his contract expires. Two is that Manchester City want Buffon and they can pay £25+m for the keeper without batting an eye. And that is well out of Arsenal’s price range.
Arsenal could once again go back to France and get a player, with France keeper Hugo Lloris valued at around £12m or head to Germany for Germany’s Rene Adler. Adler will miss the World Cup because of a rib injury. Adler is young which fits the profile of players that Arsenal like, and would probably cost around £10m.
Lastly, Wenger could “Buy English” and try and pry Joe Hart from Manchester City. Hart would be my preference over Adler, simply because I know that Hart can perform in the Premier League.

I think Joe Hart is the keeper we should go for if we fail to get Buffon.
My choice would be Rob Green and the reason why is that he is 30 and an international! Give him a 5 year contract and by that time Szczesny will be ready at 25yrs of age to ake over the jersey for the 10 years!
Buy either Lloris, Hart or Adler

Arsenal doesn,t need any more goalkeepers,rather competent experienced defenders who don,t ball watch and have a lapse in concentration ever 15 minutes or so Gallas,Si
lvestre and Campbell style not to forget Sagna who can,t go past his opposite no. or get into the opposition penalty area to get a shot on target like Eboue ,and too much sideways and backwards passing with Gallas ,no no need for goalies.

Buffon is the one I think Wenger would buy,by the time he retires we would have Wojecieh Scezeny ready. So what do you think Mancicni is intending to do with Shay Given ?, Put him on bench after have a very good season ?.
what about some american keeps? get them on and pay them cheap (their american) and we’ve got some of the best goalies in the world, 4 in the prem alone. tell me young brad guzan at villa wouldn’t be great value with a solid resume and then Cervi at celtic also, but be real Mannone is where its at…
