Robin van Persie injured again

by David on August 30, 2010

Well that was quick. Robin van Persie injured his ankle against Blackburn and is expected to miss up to a month of action.

Van Persie reported to Holland’s camp Monday where they diagnosed the injury. The Dutch Football Association said he would be out for “at least a few weeks”. Arsenal estimate that his absence will be for between two and four weeks, depending on how quickly the swelling subsides.

There is no doubt RVP’s class as I wrote earlier today, but van Persie has been at Arsenal for six years now and has yet to make 100 league starts for the Gunners. With the arrival of Chamakh, maybe Wenger can wrap RVP is cotton balls and save him for the big league games and Champions League matches. That was Arsenal can get him for the important games as the Gunners are a much better team when van Persie is in the team.

Let`s get radical. Fabregas, Van Persie and Arshavin, what is their true value to the side, not their sentimental value, their true value. One without a heart, one without a leg and one without the mind. Total value 100 million pounds. That can buy a lot of talent.

He always disappoints us especially when we need him most. He is a good player i agree but may be more useful to Holland team than Arsenal. The best way is to do away with him and may be get some one who can help us more. Am sorry to say all that to him but he has failed to do anything good to Arsenal

Aussie Jack
you may have a point mate. In the final analysis maybe it is the nature of the English game that is undermining Van Persie’s game. It does not also help that he gets many of his injuries while on International duty. Add to that the fact that he is one of the most paid players as well as important and we do have a problem. Whil we ever challenge for trophies when our number one striker is seldom fit? I dont think so. It hurts me to say this but maybe its time to cut our loses come next season.

I believe V.persie have not get the proper treatment from the ductor. If VP can be out for atleast six month to be propertly treated by ductors, he can go a long ways in his carrer.let he be given a chance to under go good treatment and we will get the best out of him.

What a load of rubbish you guys above have spouted? You are way out of order. Those players are valuable to our club in more ways than one. Our club has a decent ranking and our games are very attractive to viewers both at home and abroad. I have mates living in north America who tell me the trouble they go through to see games live. Please even players who leave us find out sooner than later that they were at a very special club and it was a big mistake to leave. The latest is Alexander Hleb who is heading back to EPL to play for a tinpot club.
