Robin Van Persie Back Earlier Than Expected

by David on February 25, 2010

The big news of the week has to be that Robin van Persie could be back playing for Arsenal a lot sooner than people expected. According to Holland coach Bert van Marwijk, RVP could be back in action at the start of April instead of at the end of the month as previously thought.

Van Marwijk was quoted as saying:

“I spoke to him on the phone last week and he is improving all the time and feeling better. You can hear it in his voice that he feels he is improving. I hope that he will play at the beginning of April and he feels this is maybe possible.”

With the title race looking like it will go down to the site, having Van Persie for 6 games instead of two could be the difference between finishing third and finishing much higher.

Yeah, since the dutch FA has done great in diagnosing him the first time. They told us he would be up 4 weeks. Turns out to be 5+ months. I don’t buy it.
