i am more uncomfortable with Almunia than Campbell, but then again Fabianski is no better and Mannone too experienced for this one. So i think we should line up as follows

Almunia
Sagna Gallas Campbell Clichy
Fabregas Song Denilson
Rosicky Bendtner Nasri
subs
Fabianski, Silvestre, Traore, Ramsey, Arshavin, Eboue, Walcott or Vela

gone for Nasri over Arshavin to give more cover for Clichy

I thought Sol did well against Villa. He doesn’t have pace, but he positioned himself well and was good in the air.
I say use Gallas/Campbell at CB, let Eboue replace Clichy, who didn’t look fit to me, or use Eboue in midfield on Clichy’s side. if Eboue’s ready. and DEFINITELY use Song in center midfield if he’s ready.

I dont see how there could be a problem. gallas and campbell are both quality CBs and even if campbell doesnt have much pace, wenger could just tell him to stay back and protect almunia whilst gallas, clichy or sagna go forward

I am fine with it, if our holding midfielder (Song) can make the game, Sol has the big game mentality, and can compete in the air..

Its our best pairing right now, so lets go.. We will have manu defending a lot, and now we have two aerial threats in their box at set pieces..

Its the easiest thing to say on these site, buy this, buy that.. Would all the names you mentioned add anything, or are they another flop, just increasing the wage bill on the bench..We just need a break with the injuries, we have a title winning squad right here.

well if you are from the doom and gloom brigade this is a disaster! Wenger should have splashed 20£ on a striker and 15£ on a Smalling! so there! Smalling is alot better than Sol. he would do great with Gallas!

There is absolutely no reason to suggest that the pairing would do worse than our normal pairing. Just have a look at their performance at Villa park. Sol’s height advantage will help with aerial attack and his natural physic will ensure that we can hold our own.

The only worry is whether Sol will be able to cope with 3 games in a week considering he has been out for a long time. AW has alluded to this.
