Potentially bad news for Arsenal in that Abou Diaby has been ruled out of France’s World Cup qualifier at home to Belarus on Tuesday.
Diaby has been terrific for Arsenal so far this season and backed that up with a match-winning performance for France against Finland on Friday.
But Diaby’s career has been limited by injuries and it looks like the injury bug has hit him again as France boss Didier Deschamps has said that Diaby has a muscular injury.
‘Diaby took a bad shot and he has muscular discomfort. He is not free in his movements’ said Deschamps.
Too early to tell if the injury will keep Diaby out of this weekend’s game against Southampton.
There was however some good news for Arsenal though from the French camp as Olivier Giroud has been given the all clear by to play in Tuesday’s match.
‘He could play. He trained normally. We can ask questions on pace for 90 minutes’ said Deschamps

Buh we oughta know 4rm d antecedents of d past dat Abou Diaby is an injury-prone player. Xo itz not surprising dat he z injured again. Wat’z moe surprising is y Arsene Wenger allowed Song 2 go n didnt replace him wit his astute belief on Diaby’s comeback. Hell rubbish!……dis man is killing us d fans slowly.
