Guardiola Wants Arsenal Job

According to Goal.com, Pep Guardiola is telling associates that if he is coming to the Premier League, he prefers Arsenal over Chelsea.

The Spaniard has been linked with English clubs Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City after leaving Barcelona to take a year-long sabbatical as well as with Paris St. Germain.

“Guardiola’s preference in England is Arsenal,” a source told Goal.com. “The club are aware he would be interested in the job in 2013.”

Chelsea were thought to be favourites to land Guardiola given owner Roman Abramovich’s no-expense-spared obsession with the 41-year-old. However, the source claims:

“Guardiola doesn’t want to go to Chelsea. He is worried about the lack of stability. He also has a good relationship with Wenger dating back to when he started doing his coaching badges at Arsenal.”

The interesting part of those quotes to me is the part that Arsenal are aware of Guardiola’s interest in coming to the Emirates. I wonder what the response was?

With the increased sponsorship money and the massive increase in TV revenue next season, Arsenal could hand Guardiola a massive transfer budget without running afoul of the Uefa Financial Fair Play rules.

After yesterday’s defeat in the cup, I would expect that the vast majority of Arsenal fans would fully support Guardiola replacing Arsene Wenger. Would you?

I think he(Arsene Wenger) has done his best for our club. It’s time we take a new challenge. The question is, will the arsenal boss really do that?

I think Pep would be a great step forward in giving our club hope. At this point it seems we are repeating the same mistakes over and over. We need a fresh approach and I believe this is just that. Of coarse we all agree Wenger changed Arsenal forever but he has hit the wall in resent years and it is time for us and Mr wenger to chart a new course. Pep can not change the team overnight and I would not expect that. But it will be a start and hopefully in time bring the Gunners back to the top. And don’t forget there are a few players over at Barca that would love to play for Pep again. Interesting thought don’t you think?

the club problems is becouse you as wenger loves money for your life.

look at other clubs they do not sell their best stars.

wenger make sure that walcot should not join man united again.
RVP is working hard to get his arsenal mate to united. paz him his demands and continue with life.

I love Arsenal’s philosophy. No need to mortgage the future for the sake of trophies whose overall value is inconsequential. It is just a pride and it is pride that kills people because they want to belong irrespective of whether they have the resources or not. The club should maintain her stand. No player is bigger than the club as to dictate even not the Messi of this world talk less of an underperformer for 7 years. The amount of playing time given to Walcott was enough to have turned him into a classic striker. If he wants to go, let him go, the club will survive.

You are not a serious mind. Why don’t you sell all your fortunes and hire Pep at least that will show your seriousness. Of course you can take a huge bank loan or borrow from Usmanov or Abramovic to sign world class players and pay them heavily and win trophies but end up dying in penury. Why cant you show wisdom?

People can’t be crazier, Barca’s success was built on heavy debt with all the players super stars. Wenger works with tight budget and a little more than average players. Give Wenger about half the players at Barca and you will see what he would achieve. Pound for pound Wenger is better than Pep. People should allow Arsenal’s vision to mature just as people concerned were patient with Barca till their vision matured and now they are reaping the results. Please, impatient fans should not kill Arsenal’s vision. The end is in view, the renegotiation of the sponsorship deal is the first step in the new phase. Let us wait and see the new Arsenal. The current situation is the lowest Arsenal can ever decsend into. We shall have the last laugh just as Barca is doing over Real Madrid. In addition, it is Arsene Wenger that sold Arsenal to the World and before then only few people outside England and Western Europe knew about Arsena FC.
