Well it looks like Arsene Wenger has dipped into the transfer market after all. By all accounts Arsenal have sighed Montenegrin defender Stefan Savic.
Savic, who is a 19-year old a center-half, has has earned 5 Under-21 caps, told the Serbian newspaper Blic:
“There were offers from Tottenham and Birmingham, but once a call came from Arsenal, I had no more doubts. Wenger made sure my papers were arranged for me and my work permit extended so I can be at more training sessions. He is the man. He has incredible authority at the club, everyone listens to him, assistants lead training sessions and he just supervises. Nothing can escape him. A pre-contract will be signed on Thursday and then I will return to Belgrade and join BSK for their preparations. I will be staying with BSK until May.”
Another one for the future. Arsenal were very close to getting Chris Smalling from Fulham, so I guess that makes Savic plan B.

I hate aw coz he don’t want to sign experience players.What baffle me most is dat dere is money in the bank.I just hope we qualify for next chanpion league.
Arsene when will you stop this your sturbon attitude, smalling would have been better because he can join us right away this season. savic need to adapt if he comes and by that time man utd and chelsea would have distroy us yet again. striker is what Arsenal need most not a defender.

Yo guys needto uderstand ts not all abut siging, suppose he signs the best playat roughly 50 million, wos t say e cn adpt to th team ndif he oesn what ten, buing players is a gamble, i rather gle a small amount thn alot and loose it all. wenger is the best manager and he knows what he is doing, every player wenger goes for the big guys with the money follows him. any playr wenger is after, everyone followes hence why we never get smalling. this is why Wenger usually buys players last minute. About the money, wenger is thinking long term while the other clubs are spending themselves into depth. Later on, we will be the one laughing whilst more teams go into administration. Saying that i wouldn’t mind a keeper, almunia is just about good enough for second keeper, shay given, and yayae toure, even Jermaine Beckford.. Look at his stats.. Would of been perfect but hay, I have a lot of trust in wenger and u all should too….
