Fergie Worried About Arsenal Not Chelsea

by David on March 15, 2010

Interesting comments by Alex Ferguson after United’s defeat of Fulham yesterday. Fergie was asked about the title race and this is what he had to say:

“We are back in the lead, but Chelsea have a game in hand. “It’s also going to be a hard-fought tussle, with Arsenal coming strongly now, and I have a suspicion that they might yet mount the biggest challenge. I’m wary of Arsenal if they don’t suffer too many more injuries to key players.”

It is going to be a great title run in and I expect United and Chelsea both to drop points. If Arsenal win all eight games left on the schedule, they will be Champions.

Mind games!!!!

He’s a clever man…the main consideration is which team has their key players
injury free. Man U without Rooney for 4 or more games might struggle for 4th place!!!!

He is a wise jackal… just trying to play mind games…. i hope our players have enough experience to go an win the title…. the only way we are going to get it is by sheer discipline, committment and with grace of god… lets hope for the best… come on you young warriors….

we will continue fighting and that is a promise we will surely keep. football is like other things in life… do your utmost and then we will see. Fergie is worried about arsenal and from the top two it is man utd who are worrying me. They have been really good against ac milan and fulham, and are not conceding goals. On the other hand we seem to be conceding a goal each time. we have to be meaner in defence especially against the spuds, who are playing well at the moment.
