One thing that I have always wondered about Cesc Fabregas going to Barcelona is where will he play?
At Barcelona, as with Spain, the pairing in the middle of the midfield is Xavi and Andres Iniesta. No disrespect to Fabrgas but he is not as good as Xavi and Iniesta and so when he plays for Spain Fabregas sits on the bench. And this does not sit well with Fabregas who said:
“I always want to play. I’m not used to sitting on the bench and I want to be playing at this World Cup. I’m always competitive at everything – even on the PlayStation. But that’s my desire to win and I have that even in training. I’ve never been a player happy to settle for what I have, I always want more. I respect the coach’s decision. I know to be in midfield is going to be difficult because we have a lot of good players but I will never give up. I’ve won a lot of caps but if I’ve not played three quarters of the game then it’s not so valuable to me. I still don’t think my best time for Spain has arrived and I still must carry on working to improve.”
If Fabregas went to Barcelona the same thing would happen, he would be on the bench watching Xavi and Iniesta and Fabregas seems to be coming to this realization as he said:
“I haven’t said that I will definitely leave Arsenal. Everything is possible. Now I have my head and my focus on the World Cup. I am very pride to be captain of Arsenal and I love the club and have respect for them. It gave me such pride to be made captain.”
Sounds like the World Cup experience has given Cesc a look into the future and it is not as rosy a picture as he thought it would be. Which could be very good news for Arsenal fans.

It’s beginning to dawn on Cesc (and others) that he is a season or two away from a regular berth in the Barca 1st team. Which suits AW and Arsenal as they prepare for next term.
As I have said here, there and everywhere, he will be with us next season.
Keep the faith.
After that? Maybe not. But AW may be in his last season as well so it could be regime change in 2011/12.
It will give Wilshere and Ramsay a year to vie for his place. Neither is quite ready yet.
I strongly disagree with the comment that Cesc is inferior to Xav. and Ines.. Take a look at stats of cesc and Xavi at their respective 22 years you would not believe ‘coz it shows he is far better than xavi even at 22. I know that stats don’t tell the whole story but it does matter a lot since it reflects the performance on the field. I still believe, with Cesc in, spain would win all their games easily rather than struggling to beat opponents. He is the only player in the world who can break any defence in a blink. But the good thing for us is that he realises that the grass is not that green if he were to go to Barca.
If i were cesc i wil make use of my sense, look at d fact dat he is just warmin bench at d worldcup,i belief wen he get 2 bacerlona dat wil worse 4 him.gunners 4 life{one love}
It will be better for Fabregas to be a king in hell than a servant in heaven.
He’s probably been pondering this the entire time while with Spain. He knows he’s behind both Xavi & Iniesta in the Barca heirarchy. And he doesn’t play DM so effectively he’s behind Buscetts too. He will find himself in the same shoes as Hleb; theres simply no room for him for the next 2-3 years. Wake up Cesc…Barca is only a dream that would soon turn into a nightmare. Stay at the Emirates where you can lay your head on a a red & white pillow and everyone will love u.

I want him to go & see for himself what we where talking about already.
We can get Arteta or Ozil or Pienaar & make Van Persie our Captain and beat barca in the CL final.
I don’t like spanish player, they are very good in ground but most of them like 2play 2their home clubs. they normally leave outside spain just looking for experiences and popularity when they archieve no futher story wth mother club, what more is 2go back home play for barca, madrid. Good learning from Reys, Alonso, Merida and other nonesense player like sesc. To me aserne better stop signing such players if he real want trophies, but he can do for business affairs. I’m sorry mi dia arsenal fans
cesc you should be playing, stay with us, you are our captain and you know you will always play. we need you and love you.
to be sincere….let him leave……he sud sit on the bench at barca for 3 to 4 years …..till the likes of xavi and iniesta retire before he gets a start…..or maybe he cud pray to the gods for an injury to either of them …cos thats the only way he wud get a start

Actually Spain did not want to raise Fabregas price by starting him for this WC10. Barca and SpainFA had a good agreement. They know….if fabregas play, no want can stop him and maybe he will be in WC10 dream team and increase his price.

Arsenal dont NEED anyone. Nobody is bigger than the club. His latest comments smacks of desperation in terms of grovelling to the faithfull. should of thought abt that before letting all his ‘mates’ at barca chat so much bull to the media.

Am hurt when I see Cesc being used as a subsitute in the WC. I felt so bad when he did not even play for a minute during the last game with Portugal. Come on Cesc our captain, open your eyes to reality. Barca midfield is crowded; remain with Arsenal where you are needed.

We understand that Cesc is still a young man and unskilled in the murky world of football agents etc. but even he must have known that Iniesta and Xavi were ahead of him in the peckiing order of Spain,s national team and Barcelona football team,if he didn,t know then,well he sure does now ?

with the lives of xavi,iniester i do not thing fab.can secure a place in barca.
I hope Fabs will stay. Barca is good, but Arsena are the Best!!
