Arsenal v Manchester City in the Carlng Cup

by David on October 31, 2009

After beating Liverpool in the 4th round of the Carling Cup, Arsenal’s youngsters were rewarded with a mouth watering trip to the Eastlands to play Manchester City in the Carling Cup Quarter-Final.

This will be the second meeting this season between Arsenal and Man City. Earlier in the league City beat Arsenal 4-2 when former Gunner Emmanuel Adebayor was banned for a stamp on Robin van Persie and fined for his celebration after scoring in City’s win earlier this season.

The tie will take place the week of 30 November.

Wenger wont start with Vermaelen and Gallas no matter what so i think we shouldnt even bother ourselves thinking that way all um hoping is that all these injured players [Denii,Bendt52,Rosicky,Djourou,Fabianski] return around that time for that Carling Cup game then w ight have a chance if not um afraid to say maybe this wouls be the end of our Carling Cup adventure….but get past Man City and realistically the Cup will be there for the taking

The result of this tie is simple. If City have the confidence to play their tots, then Arsenal will win as their second string is the strongest in the country. If, however, City play their first team, then Arsenal will lose (narrowly). It all depends on BOTTLE.

IMO AW will select a weak team b’cuz this is after Std Liege & Chelsea follow by stoke.
If AW select a team as gd as Arsenal vs LFC, we have a gd chance of winning.
I don’t consider this as “mickey mouse cup” just look at the finalist for the last few season, they are all (top) EPL teams.
