Arsenal have landed Malaga left-back Nacho Monreal for around £9m. The 26-year-old Monreal is expected to sign a five-year deal worth around £55k a week.
Yes Monrreal is cup-tied for the Champions League, but he can still play in the league games. From everyone I have heard talk about Monreal, they all call this a great deal for Arsenal. Monreal is right up there with Barca‘s Jordi Alba as the best left backs in La Liga.
With the injures that Kieran Gibbs keeps getting, and the disaster that is Santos, Arsenal had a crying need for a left back and it looks like Arsene Wenger has plugged that hole.
