Arsenal Make £4m Bid For Florian Thauvin

by David on January 21, 2013

According to the Daily Express Arsenal have made a £4m bid for attacking midfielder Florian Thauvinhave.

Thauvin has been in fine form for Bastia this season, and has three goals to his name from 17 appearances.

The French midfielder has also been linked with a move to Newcastle, but French paper Nice Matin has it that Arsenal’s bid for the 19-year-old was twice that of Newcastle’s offer.

They also report the Gunners want the youngster this month, whereas Ligue 1 side Bastia don’t want him to leave until June.

The 19-year-old Thauvin began his career with Grenoble before moving to Bastia, who were promoted to the French first division this season.

The French side have issued a statement saying that they

“do not intend to participate in gossip and fantasies regarding the player moving for completely disproportionate transfer amounts, given the situation of the player and the current prices in the transfer market”.

Arsenal never made a bid for this player. If we buy him it will be on the website. Don’t believe everything you read. I am glad that Wenger knows what he is doing because if you fools were in charge we would be buying every player on the market and have a squad of 60 players and in debt. Get a grip . It’s not Football manager. Have a nice day.

Typical! In the time of need, we go and bid for more potential.

In Arsene We Trust…?
